This game is next on my list to play: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PC Version). Not only is it highly recommended by the gaming community, but the most compelling endorsement came from a friend who summed up the best parts of the game for him (so far) as:
“climbing the 7,000 steps to the summit of Mt. Whateveritscalled”
“running away from a dragon”
“running away from a master vampire”
“running away from a forest elemental”
“finding a dead guy in a hollow log in the middle of nowhere”
“having my faithful armed companion die horribly and then feeling very alone in a blizzard on the side of a mountain”
“eating butterflies and anything else that i find on the ground”
Which, as crazy as it sounds, immediately made me want to get my hands on the game. Now, if only finding the time to play it were as easy as ordering it. THAT’s what I’d like for Christmas.
